A time is coming very soon where there will be many surprises. Indeed, when Jesus will take His bride, many will be left behind and will be surprised to see the true Christians taken.
Those true Christians are those who are hidden in Christ, persecuted, rejected, disapproved, minimised, and forsaken by men but most importantly known by the Father. Among them, can be found some people who were previously immoral, thieves, homeless, delinquent, shy, popular in the world, crazy… And they will go into the Kingdom of God before us (Matthew 21: 31). Christians, comfortably seated in our assemblies for centuries, we are sleeping too much while the revival is happening before our eyes. The Word says that “the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matthew 11: 12).
True disciples of Christ are known by the Father not because they will have manifested spiritual gifts or because they will have performed miracles. They are known by the Father because they will have manifested the FRUIT of the Holy Spirit, the character of Christ.
Let us carefully read the following passage from the Scriptures:
On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matthew 7:22-23)
We can easily notice that those people not known of God reminded Him their visible acts. They did not say: “Lord, lord, did we not show mercy towards our neighbour and love as you asked us to do? Did we not daily develop our intimacy with You? And did we not manifest kindness and self-control when we had to?” NO. They focused on visible acts that they performed before men (e.g. miracles) and not on what they should have done behind the scene, in the secret place, that is to say in their intimacy with God.
Let us do everything, me first, to be among the remnant that will not bow down before Baal and the things of the world. Let us not be found among those workers of lawlessness that the Lord will reject on that day.
For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry (Hebrews 10: 37).
